Muscat Annual dinner - a big thank you Jason

To those Ladies and Gentleman who attended Jason’s highly successful “Inaugural Annual Dive Club Dinner 2010”.

I am sure you would all like to join me in saying a big thank you to Jason for what was an excellent evening.

Despite his current ‘bachelor status’ he masterfully organised (with the able assistance of Robina!)  An outstanding night, with copious quantities of food, alcohol, cheese and port finished of with an extensive stable of single malt whiskies to the sound of good music (Tom Jones?).  But what happened to Alex’s famed rendition - sadly a lost opportunity as it was his last evening with the club and we all wished him well as he headed home to Belgium.

So well done Jason, a hard act to follow.

Furthermore Jason generously declined to accept the original charge of 15 OMR instead suggesting that each guest make a donation to club funds which to date amounts to 215 OMR with an odd donation still to come.

I think you will all agree this was an extremely generous move on his part and as Chairman I would like to express appreciation on behalf of all club members.

It was an extraordinary good night out in good company, so good in fact I stayed over.
Port followed by greedy measures of good whiskey. Not a wise mix.
Thursday was not a good day for me, even if it didn't begin untill about 11.00 hours.
